I
Here's a little about me
Growing up I had two passions; music & the visual arts. I studied classical music in college. I sang opera during the week & I was a lead singer in a rock band on weekends. I got married young & started a family. I left my dream of becoming a singer to raise my two beautiful daughters. Lucky for me I had another dream of being an artist, a painter. It took many years to develop my painting style, now a fusion of abstract and animal realism.
Here's what I love most about being an artist: when I create I leave this world & I go somewhere that is so peaceful. I get lost in time & loose track of everything. I am so happy when I create, I feel whole. I am surrounded by love, joy, beautiful colours & inspiration.
I fall in love! I fall in love with the creating process. And every time I start a new piece I fall in love all over again.
Fall in love along with me. Be in the space between time. Art is a doorway into a serene world & I will meet you there!

My Intent As An Artist
My intent as an artist through my soulful paintings is to take you on a voyage of the soul, back to love, your heart, your true self, so you may experience more joy, love, serenity & well-being in your life.
Art that heals the heart

Why I love painting songbirds
They represent peacefulness. Their chirpiness & songs bring me so much joy! It opens my heart to more love and I hope through my artwork it does the same for you!
In my paintings the songbirds represent messengers of love, joy & serenity. Each art piece comes with a unique soulful energy & message.

Mindful Observation
My soulful paintings can help you with your meditation. An invitation into the present moment. Mindful observation can guide you to your inner wisdom & help you return to your true self.
Stand or sit in front of the painting and set an intention you wish to focus on. What answer would you like to receive to help you move forward? Or ask for inspiration to resolve an issue. It can simply be a calm meditative experience to reduce stress & increase wellness in your life. Your intention can be anything you're looking to have more clarity on.
Then focus on the beauty, the markings, shapes, joyful colours of the artwork. This helps me re-center myself and it heals my heart and I am hoping it will do the same for you. This focus will help you reach a higher consciousness and help you be heart centered.
If your mind starts to wander, simply bring it back to the visual design of the painting & get completely absorbed in its soulful energy, infused with calm & serene vibes.
Allow yourself to be taken on a journey of your soul.

My Painting Process
Here's a little bit about my painting process when creating abstract art.
I have no plan of composition or colour when starting a painting. Just a white canvas or piece of paper.
I start most of the time in silence no music or tv on. Around the end of the day I sometimes turn some music on.
I quiet my mind & I simply begin. I let myself be guided to choose the colour that speaks to me the most in that moment & I start to create shapes & lines on paper or canvas. Many layers are applied. I keep working on it until I feel it is complete. It will often take me days & sometimes weeks before an art piece is complete.
I call my art process, intuitive painting. It feels like a meditation. It's so peaceful. I connect to my inner wisdom and inspiration flows through me. I let go & I simply trust my inner guidance.
My soulful paintings are meant to touch your heart & soul.

What is Abstract Art
What does it represent? Is a question I sometimes get. Abstract art by passes representation. It represents the inner world of the artist.
When viewing an abstract painting, one should ask themselves; what does this painting feel like?
Perhaps a feeling of what love is.
May my paintings bring you comfort & love.
